But of course, it was not a good one and has never been published. However, I kept learning and learning about foreign languages (English, in particular), and become more and more interested in translation. Therefore, after finishing high school, I continued my study in Faculty of Languages and Cultures University of Indonesia, Depok. During my junior year, I help several friends from other majors (mostly history major) to translate their text books into Indonesian. The more I learn it, my passion for the art of translation becomes deeper and deeper. In my sophomore year, I took Translation Class for two semesters and got an A. The lecture has changed my previous thought that anyone can translate anything provided they know the languages. And later, it was confirmed by several years of experience. Making me more careful in doing each translation.

In July 1997, I graduated. A month before the graduation, I worked for an education institution as an English teacher. I taught high school and University students until 1999. Beside teaching, I also took translation projects ever since I graduated.

In August 2000, I worked as a full-time translator for a website on Indonesian arts and cultures. I also had a chance to write several articles. In January 2001, I was recruited as a translator and editor for a sport magazine. I worked there for six years and resigned in the end of January 2007 to become a full-time freelance translator.Noer Agustienhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10647759051394658594noreply@blogger.com0
